Turning 5... how can it be? Little Ezzy. Now not so little. You've always been such a snuggle bug. You give the most amazing hugs.
You're the one I worry about the most. The middle child... can sometimes tend to get, well, lost in the middle. I wonder if that's why nothing irritates you more than not being heard or understood.
Ezzy with "keekee." That's how he said, "kitty!"
You're the most like me, too, I think. That intense personality. Very concerned about fairness and rightness. So persistant when you set your mind to something.
I can still hear your little song you used to sing when you were 2 and 3 years old, "I'm just Ezzy, I'm just Ezzy..." over and over again in your funny gruff little voice.
You have the most vivid imagination. I love it when you ask me to tell you a story at night, but as I start making something up you interrupt me, "No, no no no.... this is what happened..." And off you go, telling the story the way it should be.
You can always fall asleep in the most incredible places!
You are so fearless - the brave one, el valiente. You started swimming before you were even 2 and now you are like a fish. Your fondest wish for your birthday is a snorkel and mask. Probably so you can stay underwater even longer. I can't wait to see your face when you open it up today!
If I let you be you would play 'pretend' all day. You started playing so imaginatively at such a young age.

Your prayers amaze me. You really have a grasp of God's presence, talk freely with him and pray for others. I'll never forget the dream you shared with me. You dreamt that our whole family was standing outside and, "God sent His spirit down to us and lifted us all up in the air together. We were going up and up and then I woke up when were in the clouds!" You pounded your hand on your heart and said, "My heart was beating like this when I woke up." Wow - my hair was standing on end when you shared that with me. You are such a special, incredible boy.

Little Ezzy bear, I can't imagine my life without you. You are one-of-a-kind, unique, special. You light up my life and fill me with laughter and joy. I am so blessed to have you as my son. I love you Ezzy, and I wish you the happiest Birthday ever!!!
